Composition

Chlorotetracycline hydrochloride – 1 gram.

 

Pharmacological properties:

Chlorotetracycline is an antibiotic with a pronounced bacteriostatic action.

It is active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms, rickettsia, mycoplasma, spirochet, chlamydia.

Application:

Treatment of postpartum intrauterine infections, acute and chronic endometritis, metritis, postpartum delays and their prevention after complicated deliveries in cows, sheep and goats.

 

 

Dosage:

The drug is used intrauterine in dose:

Cows: for prophylaxis purposes – 1 tablet per animal once within 24 hours after delivery; for therapeutic purposes – 1-2 tablets per animal.

Sheep, goats: for prophylactic purposes – 1/2 tablet for one animal once within 24 hours after childbirth; for therapeutic purposes – 1/2-1 tablet for one animal.
If necessary, the treatment is repeated after 48 hours.

 

 

Contraindications :

Do not use animals with hypersensitivity to chlorotetracycline.

 

 

Caution:

Apply when the cervix is open enough (immediately after delivery).
Not used during pregnancy. It is allowed to slaughter animals for meat 10 days after the last injection of the drug. Consumption of milk is allowed 4 days after the last administration of the drug.
