Oily suspension from white to light yellow with a specific smell.

 

Composition:

1 syringe tube (10 grams) contains active ingredients (mg):

Cephalexin monohydrate – 350;

Gentamycin sulfate – 100.

 

 

Pharmacological properties:

Profimast is a combined antimicrobial agent containing cephalexin monohydrate and gentamicin sulfate, which act on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, namely: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae and others.

 

 

Application:

Treatment of cattle (cows), sheep and goats, patients with acute, subacute, clinical, subclinical, chronic, non-specific forms of mastitis of infectious nature, caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug during lactation.

 

 

 

Dosage

Intracisternal:

Cows are injected with the contents of one syringe tube into the affected breast, which is prewashed, dispensed and disinfected. After administration of the drug is carried out a light massage of the affected quarter of the breast (from bottom to top) for its even distribution throughout the tank. Repeated administration of the drug is carried out after 12-24 hours.

Sheep and goats are injected half of the contents of one syringe tube into the affected breast according to the above scheme.

The course of treatment is 3-5 days.

Before the introduction of the syringe tube is heated to a temperature of 95-100F (35-38C) ° C in a water bath and actively shaken to obtain a homogeneous mass.

 

 

Contraindications:

Do not use animals with hypersensitivity to the active ingredients of the drug.

 

 

Cautions:

Could be a redness at the point of administration. Kidney disease and/or long-term treatment may result in renal failure.

The use of milk to feed people is permitted 4 days after the last use of the drug. Milk obtained before this date is fed to unproductive animals or disposed of (depending on the opinion of the veterinarian).

 

 

Form of issue:

Intramammary syringes (syringes-tubes) of 10 grams, packed in 4 pcs. polymeric packages.

 

 

 

Storage

Dry, dark, inaccessible to children at temperatures between 40-777F (5°C to 25°C).

Do not store together with food, beverages and animal feed.

Shelf life – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
