Description

Powder is light yellow.

Composition:

1 gram of the product contains

the active ingredient:

Doxycycline hydrochloride – 200 mg.

Pharmacological action:

Doxycycline is an antibiotic that belongs to the tetracycline group.

It acts bacteriostatically on bacterial ribosomes, preventing protein synthesis.

The preparation has a wide range of antimicrobial action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Diplococcus pneumonia, Streptococcus spp.., Haemophilus influenza, E. coli, Pneumococci, Bacillus antracis, Clostridium tetani, Clostridium perfringes, Listeria monocytogens, Actinomyces spp., Entirobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella, Yersinia spp.), as well as mycoplasm, rickettsia and chlamydia.

After oral administration, doxycycline is quickly absorbed and reaches its maximum concentration in the blood after 3 hours, and remains in the body for a long time.

Doxycycline is characterized by a high absorption rate in the gastrointestinal tract (about 93%) and is not affected by food in the digestive tract.

The high degree of diffusion ensures that doxycycline is present in high concentrations in liver, lung, muscle and kidney tissues.

Doxycycline is excreted from the body partly by the kidneys, but mainly through faeces in the form of inactive conjugate (possibly chelated) with little effect on intestinal microflora.

From toxicological point of view, doxycycline is characterized by high safety at application, absence of teratogenic activity and negative influence on body growth and cartilage tissue development.

The drug is prescribed for prevention and treatment of bacterial infections of young cattle, pigs and poultry:

pneumonia, enzootic pig pneumonia, hemophillosis, chlamydia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, chronic respiratory pathologies, pasteurellosis, staphylococcosis.
