Composition:

1 ml of the preparation contains

active ingredients:

Enrofloxacin – 100 mg,

Trimetoprim – 50 mg.

 

 

Pharmacological action:

Enrofloxacin is an antimicrobial agent of wide spectrum of action from fluoroquinolones group.

The preparation has antimicrobial action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.., Clostridium spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Corinebacterium spp., Pseudomonas, E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteurella spp. and others), and also acts on mycoplasma and chlamydia.

The mechanism of action is related to the suppression of bacterial DNA-hyrazes, which leads to a disturbance of bacterial DNA replication.

The preparation is well and quickly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and distributed in organs and tissues.

Therapeutic concentrations are reached in 1-1.5 hours after administration and are maintained for 24 hours.

Trimetoprim – an antimicrobial agent of a wide spectrum of action from the group of diaminopyrimidines. The preparation has antimicrobial action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (E. coli, Klebsiella spp.., Salmonella spp.; Pasteurella spp.; Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp.; Shigella spp.; Staphylococcus spp.; Streptococcus spp.; Haemophilus spp.; Chlamidia), and also acts on toxoplasm and coccidia.

The mechanism of action is related to the suppression of bacterial reductase of dihydrofolic acid.

Metabolism is metabolized in the liver and excreted mainly by the kidneys through tangle filtration and active tubule secretion. The concentration in urine is significantly higher than in blood.
The half-life period is 8 to 10 hours.

 

 

Application:

The drug is used for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in chickens – broilers, repair young chickens and turkeys in colibacillosis, salmonellosis, chronic respiratory diseases, streptococcosis, necrotic enteritis, hemophilosis, mycoplasmosis, mixed infections and secondary infections in viral diseases, the agents of which are sensitive to enrofloxacin and trimethoprimia.

 

 

Dosage:

Chickens, hens: Oral with drinking water in a dose of 0.5-1 ml / 1 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.

During treatment, the bird should receive only water containing the drug.

The treatment solution is prepared daily in the amount designed for the consumption of poultry during the day.

Contraindications: chickens with a dose of 0.5-1 ml per 1 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days:

It is not allowed to use laying hens, due to the accumulation of enrofloxacin and trimetoprim in eggs.

 

 

Caution:

Do not apply to animals sensitive to the components of the drug, laying hens:

When preparing mother liquor, it is necessary to add the preparation to the water, not vice versa.

Water and the preparation should be a single source of drinking water during the treatment period.
