Composition

One tablet (0.8 g of the drug)

contains the active substance:   Fenbendazole – 50 mg.       

 

                                                                                                                                                 

Pharmacological properties:

ATCvet QP 52 A ,  anti- trematode , anti-nematode and anti-cestodic veterinary  drugs,  ( ATCvet QP 52 AC 13, fenbendazole).                                                                                                                                       

Fenbendazole – 1-methyl-5,6- (phenyl-thio) 2-benzimidazole carbamate, which has a high anthelmintic activity and a wide spectrum of action, destroys larvae and mature nematodes, some types of cestodes and trematodes and their eggs.

 

 

Application:

Deworming of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, carnivores, fur-bearing animals, chickens and geese with their nematodes (mature and immature forms), some types of cestodes and trematodes.

 

 

Dosage:

 

Dogs 1 tablet ( 50 mg ) / 22lb ( 10kg ) live weight

The course of treatment depends on the degree of infection, is:

Nematodes – 3 -10 days (taking 1 dose per day);

Nematodes – round worms that parasitize in the intestines of dogs, although there are parasites that affect the heart (dirophilia). The most common types of nematodes are ankystolomas, untsinarias, toxocars. The latter are also dangerous for humans, and mass infection with utsinarii can lead to death.

Cestodose is 10-14 days;

Cestodoses are tapeworms, infection of which leads to inflammatory processes in the intestines of the dog. Most often they get into the body with raw meat or fish. In the intestine, dogs can parasitize various types of cestods and Fenbendazole is active for most of its species:

Toxocara canis, Toxocara leonia,
Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Trichuris vulpis, Taenia.
pisiformis, Oslerus osleri,

Puppies can be given Fenbendazole from 3 weeks of age.

 

Cats 1 tablet ( 50 mg ) / 22lb ( 10kg ) live weight

The course of treatment depends on the degree of infection of  3-5  days (taking 1 dose per day);

Toxocara mystax, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Aelurostrongylus abstrusus, Taenia pisiformis.

 

 

Doses and frequency of use of Fengelmin tablets for deworming of various types:

 

A mixture of feed with crushed tablets, as a rule, is set at the beginning of morning feeding.

 

 

Contraindications :

Fengelmin should not be used in animals at the same time as anti-fasciotic drugs, and also within 7 days after treatment of animals with bromosalans.

 

 

Warnings:

After the last administration of the drug, slaughter of animals (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs) for meat is allowed after 10 days, poultry after 3 days.

The use of internal organs of animals (liver, lungs, heart) in food is allowed after 20 days.

The milk of lactating animals can be eaten 2 days after the last use of the drug.

 

Storage:

In a dry, dark place at temperatures up to  77F   (25 ° C).

Shelf life  – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
