Description
Transparent liquid of yellowish color.
Composition :
1 ml of the drug contains
Active substance – Diclazuril 2.5 mg.
Pharmacological properties :
The active substance of the drug diclazuryl is chemically synthesized non-ionophore belonging to the class of benzolacetonitrile.
Mechanism of action consists in disruption of energy metabolism of endogenous cycle of eimeric development.
It acts on all types of eimeriosis pathogens in poultry (chickens – E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. tenella, E. maxima, E. necatrix, E. mitis; turkeys – E. adenoides, E. meleagrimitis; geese, ducks – E. anseris, E. truncata), rabbits (E. flavescens, E. intestinalis, E. magna, E. perforans, E. stiedai), piglets (Isospora suis; E. suis, E. debliecli, E. scabria, E. perminuts), cattle (young – E. bovis, E. zuernii; E. mipsoidalis, E. cylindrich), sheep, goats (young animals – E. crandalis, E. ovinoidalis, E. arloingi, E. intricata, E. faurei).
The stages of endogenous cycle of Eimeria development are most sensitive to the drug; the drug also suppresses spore formation of oocysts.
The drug is effective in small doses.
Diclazuril does not cause adverse effects even when exceeding the recommended doses by 25-50 times. It does not accumulate in animal organs and tissues.
Diclazuryl has no mutagenic, carcinogenic and teratogenic effects.
It is compatible with other veterinary drugs.
It can be used in conditions of high temperature and humidity, under heat stress.
Application :
Prophylaxis and treatment of cattle (young animals), sheep (young animals), goats (young animals), pigs (young animals), rabbits (young animals), poultry (broiler chickens, young ducks, geese) during eimeriosis caused by etimeria sensitive to the preparation.
Dosage :
The drug is fed with feed or given as drinking water in doses:
