Description
Powder of light yellow color, poorly soluble in water.
Composition :
100 grams of the preparation contains
active ingredients:
Norosulfazole – 8,0 grams;
Sulfadimezin – 7.0 grams;
Trimethoprim – 3.0 grams;
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride – 4.5 grams;
Tylosine tartrate – 2.5 grams.
Pharmacological properties :
Norslulfazole is well absorbed from a gastrointestinal tract, therefore has system action.
Sulfadimezin is almost not absorbed, reaches a high concentration in the intestines, where it has a good local effect.
Together with trimethoprim, sulfonamides are highly active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Antibiotics oxytetracycline and tylosin have high bacteriostatic activity, so the complex drug has a wide range of bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects, including against microorganisms resistant to conventional antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents.
Gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacteria spp., etc.), Gram-negative bacteria (E. Colli, Bordetella spp., Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella spp., Proteus spp., Campylobacter), Mycoplasma spp., etc., as well as some simple and large viruses.
Indications :
For prophylaxis and treatment of animals and birds at primary and secondary bacterial infections of the respiratory, digestive and urinary tract, namely: catarrh of the upper respiratory tract, pneumonia, enteritis, cystitis, mastitis, septicemia, postnatal complications and a number of specific infections:
in calves: colibacial and salmonella gastroenteritis, pasteurellosis, vibriosis;
in pigs: enzootic pneumonia, arthritis, dysentery, edema, rye, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis;
in sheep: septicemia, meiosis, infectious agalactia;
in birds: typhus, cholera, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, rhinitis.
Doses and method of application :
UltraSeptol is used orally in a mixture with dry or wet food.
Treatment of pigs, poultry, and rabbits is carried out mainly by the group method by mixing the daily amount of feed with the preparation.
To 220lb (100 kg )mixed fodder add pigs 300 – 350 grams, poultry and rabbits 400 grams of the preparation.
For all kinds of animals daily dose of the drug is 1,0-1,2 grams on 22lb (10 kg) body weight.
The daily dose is set in two doses. Depending on the condition of the disease during the first application of the dose of ultraseptol can be increased by 30-100%. The course of treatment is carried out until the complete disappearance of symptoms of the disease and can be continued for 1-2 days.
Contraindications :
Ultraseptol should not be administered to animals with liver and kidney diseases. Do not give milk cows and laying hens.
Cautions :
Slaughter of animals and poultry for food purposes is allowed after 8 days after the last application of the drug.
