Powder from white to light yellow.
100 g of the preparation contain the active ingredient:
Gentamicin sulfate – 10 grams
Gentamicin belongs to the aminoglycosides group. It is an active gram-negative and gram-positive microorganism: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. Shigella spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella spp., Some species of Proteus spp. ta Serratia spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Serpulina hyodysenteriae, Mycoplasma spp. Gentamicin acts on sensitive cells in several directions: influence on the integrity of the cytoplasmic membrane, influence on the metabolism of RNA; suppression of protein synthesis at the level of zOS ribosomal subunit.
Prevention and treatment of calves, pigs and chicken broilers for digestive tract diseases caused by gentamicin-sensitive microorganisms (in particular salmonellosis in calves, pigs and chickens; dysentery and campylobacteriosis), primary and secondary infections (during and after viral infections, toxicosis, etc.).
Oral with drinking water in dose:
Calves: On the first day of treatment – 5 grams of the drug at 220 lb (100 kg) body weight in 2 doses at intervals of 12 hours. During the next 2-4 days, 4 grams of the preparation per 220 lb (100 kg) of body weight is applied once a day.
In the group method of treatment the dose is 12.5 grams of the preparation per 10 liters of drinking water. Animals should drink the prepared solution without restriction.
Duration of treatment is 3-5 days. Prophylactic dose is half of the therapeutic dose for 5-7 days;
Pigs: in case of colibacilllosis the dose and duration of application are 11 grams of the preparation per 100 liters of drinking water within 3 days,
In case of salmonellosis -15 grams of the preparation for 100 liters of drinking water within 4 days;
At campylobacteriosis and dysentery – 22 grams of the preparation for 100 liters of drinking water within 5 days.
Prophylactic dose is half of the therapeutic dose for 5-7 days;
Broiler chickens: 5 grams of the preparation per 100 liters of drinking water. Duration of treatment is 5-7 days.
Prophylactic dose is half of the therapeutic dose for 5-7 days.
Slaughter of animals (pigs and calves) and poultry for meat is allowed after 10 days, the use of internal organs of pigs and calves is allowed after 14, chicken broilers after 25 days after the last application of the drug. The meat received before this date is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the opinion of the veterinary doctor. The antibacterial effect of gentamicin can significantly reduce various salts of sodium, calcium and potassium (carbamates, sulfates, chlorides, phosphates and nitrates), so this drug should not be mixed with any other drug. Before administering the drug to animals, it should be completely dissolved in water. Fresh solution should be prepared every day. After using the drug should be washed hands.
Dry dark, inaccessible to children place at a temperature of 32-85F (0 ° C to 30 ° C). Do not freeze.
Shelf life – 5 years from the date of manufacture.
