Composition :

100 grams of the drug contains

the active ingredient:

tylosin tartrate – 10 grams.

 

Pharmacological properties :

Tilosin is an antibiotic of the macrolide group, active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms, including: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Diplococcus spp., Micrococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix spp, Moraxella bovis, Fusobacterium spp., Leptospira spp., Bacteroides spp., Spherophorus spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp.ta Chlamydia spp. High sensitivity to tylosin is noted in Mycoplasma gallisepticum, M. meleagridis, M. synoviae, M. arthritidis, M. hyosynoviae, M. suipneumoniae, M. hyorhinis.
The antimicrobial action consists in inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis by binding the active substance to ribosomes.
When administered orally, the drug is quickly and completely absorbed from the digestive tract and generates therapeutic concentrations in tissues after 2 hours, penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body.
It is eliminated mainly with urine and bile, in lactating animals – with milk, and in laying hens – with eggs.

 

Application :

Pigs: treatment of animals with enzootic pneumonia, atrophic rhinitis, arthritis, dysentery, secondary infections with viral diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
Poultry (broiler chickens, breeding chickens, repair chickens, turkeys), rabbits: treatment of animals and poultry for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and respiratory organs caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
Calves up to 3 months of age: treatment of animals with diseases of digestive tract and respiratory organs caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.

 

Dosage :

Orally in doses:

pigs – 2.5 grams of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water daily for 3-5 days.
After cessation of diarrhea, treatment shall be continued for at least 24 hours;

Poultry (chickens, turkeys) The drug is administered for therapeutic purposes to the following groups of poultry: breeding birds, turkeys, broilers – 5 grams of the drug per 1 liter of water daily for 2-5 days.
Before administration the drug is dissolved in a small amount of water, adding water to the drug, not vice versa. Prepared solution shall be diluted with water to the required concentration;

Rabbits – with feed 0.5 g of the drug per 2.2 kg body weight 2 times a day for 5-7 days;

Calves up to 3 months of age – 1-2 grams per 2.2 liters (1 kg) of feed or 1 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.

 

Contraindications :

Hypersensitivity to tylosin. Do not use in laying hens, eggs of which are intended for human consumption. Do not use in ruminants with functionally developed pre-stomachs. Do not use the drug simultaneously with erythromycin, clindamycin, lincomycin, levomycetin, penicillins.

 

Caution :

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed within 7 days after drug administration. Any meat obtained before that date shall be utilized or fed to unproductive animals depending on the opinion of a veterinarian.

 

Storage :
Store in a dry, dark place out of reach of children at 0 ° C to 25 ° C and not more than 75% relative humidity.

Shelf life – 3 years.
