Transparent oily liquid from light yellow to brown with a specific smell.
Composition :

Phoxim — 50 grams.
Pharmacological properties:
ATCvet QPS3A, ectoparasitic drugs for topical use (atcvet QP53AF01, Phoxim )
The active substance of the drug foxime-ectoparasiticides of the organophosphate group, which acts as a contact poison, causing irreversible inhibition of cholinesterase activity, which in the cholinergic system of the parasite causes a breakdown in the transmission of nerve impulses, paralysis and death.
Phoxim is characterized by a high acaricidal and insecticidal efficacy combined with low toxicity to mammals.
Application:
Treatment of cattle, sheep, and pigs with ectoparasites: scabies mites (Psoroptes, Sarcoptes, Chorioptes), lice, hair-eaters, sheep runes, flies, and fly larvae in wounds.
Cattle: treatment for ectoparasites: scabies mites (Psoroptes, Sarcoptes, Chorioptes), lice (Haematopinus eurystermus), hair-eaters (Bovicola bovis), flies, and fly larvae in wounds.
Pigs: treatment for ectoparasites: scabies mites (Psoroptes, Sarcoptes, Chorioptes), lice, hair-eaters, flies, and fly larvae in wounds.
Sheep: treatment for ectoparasites: scabies mites (Psoroptes, Sarcoptes, Chorioptes), lice (Linognathus pedalis), hair eaters (Bovicola ovis), sheep runes (Melophagus ovinus), flies, and fly larvae in wounds.
Dosage :
Treatment of sheep, cattle and pigs is carried out by bathing, washing and spraying.
Washing and spraying:
1) lice, sheep fleas, flies, Ixodes mites and fly larvae — once with a solution of 10 ml of foxime per 10 liters of water;
2) scabies mites (Psoroptes, Sarcoptes, Chorioptes) – twice with an interval of 7 days at the rate of 10 ml of foxime per 10 liters of water. In severe cases, the concentration of foxime is doubled — 20 ml of foxime per 10 liters of water.
Washing method:
Recommended for individual treatment of animals. The entire body is washed with a sponge.
Method of spraying:
It is recommended for both individual and group processing. Sprayers of various types with a pressure of at least 6 bar (5 ATM.) are used. Special attention should be paid to the places of probable accumulation of parasites (udder, behind the ears, in the perineum and under the tail).
For spraying, use the amount of working solution per animal: for cattle — 3-4 liters; for pigs-0.5-1 liter; for sheep-2-3 liters.
The method of bathing:
The solution for bathing is prepared at the rate of 1 liter of the drug per 1000 liters of water. The animal is immersed in the solution with its head. After using 10-20% of the solution, the volume is replenished with a pre-prepared solution: 0.2 l of foxime per 100 l of water. With an average consumption of 3.5 liters of solution per animal and the volume of the tank for bathing 1000 liters, the solution must be replenished after treatment by bathing 30-60 animals.
Bathing method: for scabies of animals.
In a herd, all animals must be processed. Animals are immersed in the solution with the head for 30 seconds. The head should be immersed twice. It is also necessary to periodically process possible sources of ectoparasites in places where animals are kept (cracks, fences, equipment, etc.).
Contraindications:
Do not use in sick or emaciated animals.
Do not use simultaneously with cholinesterase inhibitors.
Do not apply to animals in cases of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (foxime and coagulants).
Do not use on animals with skin damage.
Warnings:
Slaughter of cattle and pigs for meat is allowed after 28 days, sheep-35 days after the last treatment with the drug.
Do not apply to females during lactation, whose milk is used for human food.
The drug is intended for external use only. Avoid getting the drug on the mucous membranes or in the eyes of the animal. Avoid excessive or incorrect application of the drug. Prevent the drug from entering the digestive tract and respiratory organs. If an animal has a reaction to the drug, its use is discontinued.
Treatment of animals is carried out in open areas or in well-ventilated areas.
When handling animals, wear rubber gloves, protective clothing (long-sleeve shirt, long trousers and water-resistant boots) and safety glasses. Contaminated clothing must be washed with detergents or disposed of.
When treating animals with the drug, do not inhale its vapors. Do not spray the drug solution against the wind. When spraying the working solution in the premises, you must use a protective mask (FFP3 protective mask against fine dust). Do not spray the product in the presence of people.
It is forbidden to smoke, drink, or eat while working with the drug. Avoid contact with the drug in the eyes, on open areas of the body and mucous membranes. In case of contact with the solution on the skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water, and in case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. In case of symptoms of poisoning by the drug to seek medical attention.
The product is very toxic to aquatic organisms and bees. Do not contaminate rivers, reservoirs, and dams with product residues. When spraying the animal, it is necessary to observe a 10-meter distance to reservoirs and avoid getting the drug into them.
Empty packages should be disposed of in accordance with current legislation, without polluting the environment.
After treatment of animals, the working solution must be deactivated 2,2lb (1 kg) of slaked lime per 100 liters of solution (1% solution). Alkaline substances react within 96 hours (to reduce the concentration of foxime to 0.2%), after which the solution can be mixed with fertilizer or manure.
Storage:
Store the drug in a closed manufacturer’s package, in a dry place, out of reach of children and animals, separate from food and feed, at a temperature of 40-77F ( 5 to 25 °C).
Shelf life-2.5 years from the date of manufacture.
The working solution is suitable for 2 days.
