Description
Composition
1 tablet (400 mg) contains:
prasioquantel – 20 mg
pirantula embonat – 230 mg
Adjuvants: celimite, lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, starchy sodium glycol type A, magnesium stearate, dry brew yeast, flavoring additive (pork liver powder).
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Pharmacotherapeutic group – antihelmintics.
Pvoquantel (Praziquantel) – a compound of the pyrazinizinoquinols group, active relative to cestod, increases the permeability of the helminth cell membranes for calcium ions, causes a generalized reduction in the muscle of the parasite, leading to persistent paralysis, resulting in helminth death. With the oral administration of the drug praziquantel is well absorbed into the intestine, reaching maximum concentration in the blood after 1-4 hours, bound by plasma proteins (up to 80%), subjected to biotransformation in the liver with formation of inactive mono- and polyhydroxylated metabolites. Is removed from the body predominantly with urine, and in small quantities – with feces.
Pirantel embonaut is a tetrahydropyrimidine derivative, acts as a cholinergic antagonist, causing spastic paralysis of round helminths by depolarization of the neuromuscular blockage. In the body of cats pyrantel is poorly absorbed in the digestive tract and after administration per os (oral administration of drugs – consumption of medicine through the mouth) in a dose of 10 mg/ kg body weight of the animal, its concentration in blood plasma is 0.005-0.13 mg/ ml3 h. Pirantel, absorbed in the circulatory system, is partially metabolized to N-methyl-1,3-propanodiamine in the liver. Half of the dose (50%) of the pyranbody is removed from the body in an unchanged form with feces, about 7% – with urine in an unchanged form or as metabolites
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Dehelminthization of cats when affected by nematodes and cestodes: Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Uncinaria stenocephala; Taenia taeniaeformis, Taenia pisiformis, Taenia hydatigena, Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus multilocularis.
A combination of highly effective drug for the treatment and prevention of ascariasis, ankylostostosis and cestodososis. Malotoxic for cats, does not have embryo-toxic and teratogenic properties in recommended doses.
Thanks to the liver-flavored additive, the drug is well eaten by cats.
METHOD OF USE AND DOSE

Cats with body weight less than 1 kg – 1/4 tablet
Cats with body weight 1-2 kg – 1/2 tablet
Cats with body weight 2-4 kg – 1 tablet
