Description

Transparent, oily liquid from yellowish to dark yellow.

 

Composition :

1 ml of the preparation contains

the active ingredient:

Oxytetracycline (dihydrate) – 200 mg.

 

 

Pharmacological properties:

Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that affects the ribosomes of bacteria, thus inhibiting the synthesis of microbial proteins. The drug has a wide spectrum of action, and gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms are sensitive to it (Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., E.coli, Actinomyces spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium perfringens, Clostridium tetani, Listeria monocytogenes, Nocardia spp., Brucella spp., Haemophilus spp., Bordetella spp., Bartonella spp., Shigella spp., Yersinia spp, Proteus spp.) as well as protozoa, Mycoplasma spp.

 

 

Application:

Cattle: treatment of animals suffering from pasteurellosis, brucellosis, enteritis and gastroenteritis, bronchopneumonia, metrite, mastitis, anaplasmosis, keratoconjunctivitis, salmonellosis, colibacillosis, mycoplasmosis, calf diphtheria, actinomycosis, chlamydia and other infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.

Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from bronchopneumonia, enteritis, gastroenteritis, pasteurellosis, MMA syndrome, atrophic rhinitis, dysentery, mycoplasmosis and other infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive microorganisms.

Sheep and goats: treatment of animals with enteritis, infectious abortion, pyelonephritis, brucellosis, arthritis, pasteurellosis, chlamydia, respiratory infections and other diseases caused by oxytetracycline sensitive microorganisms.

 

 

Dosage:

Intramuscularly in a dose of 1 ml per 22 lb (10kg) of body weight once. In the severe course of the disease, the drug administration can be repeated after 72 hours.

 

 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to tetracycline group drugs. Do not prescribe animals with renal failure in the first month of life.

 

 

Cautions:

Killing animals for meat is allowed 22 days after the last application of the drug. Milk consumption for food is allowed after 3 days after the last use of the drug. Meat and milk received before the deadline are disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the opinion of the veterinarian.

If the dosage exceeds 20 ml for cattle, 10 ml for pigs and 5 ml for sheep and goats, it should be divided and injected into different parts of the body.

 

 

Form of release:

Vials made of transparent brown hydrolytic glass, sealed with a rubber plug for aluminum running-in, 100 ml each.

 

 

Storage:

Dry, dark, inaccessible for children at temperatures ranging from 40-77F  (5 ° C to 25 ° C).

Shelf life – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
