Amoxicillin trihydrate – a semi-synthetic penicillin, refers to beta-lactam antibiotics, inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by inhibiting transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, which leads to disruption of osmotic pressure and death of microorganisms at the stage of development. It is destructed under the action of beta-lactamases, which are biosynthesized by a number of bacteria resistant to it, thus the activity spectrum of preparations based on one amoxicillin is significantly narrowed.
Potassium clavunate is a beta-lactam, structurally related to penicillins, has a minor antibacterial effect, but by irreversibly inhibiting a number of beta-lactames, it prevents inactivation of amoxicillin and provides its antibiotic activity with respect to bacteria, usually resistant to amoxicillin and other penicillins and cephalosporins.
Both components are absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, regardless of the time of consumption and food quality, and penetrate all organs and tissues of the body. Antibacterial concentrations are preserved for 12 hours, mainly removed from the body by kidneys.

How to use and doses :
The drug is given orally with drinking water or food. The aqueous solution of the preparation is prepared just before application. Before the treatment of animals, the watering system is switched off for two hours.
The preparation is used in the following doses:
1 capsule – 0.5 grams
dogs, cats – 0.5 grams per 22 lb (10 kg) body weight with minced meat or food 2 times a day, the course – 5-7 days; in case of severe illness in the first 2 days of the dose can be increased by 2 times, and the course of treatment to continue until the symptoms of the disease disappear.
Poultry – 1 gram per 22 lb (10 kg) of body weight with drinking water;

Some animals may have allergic reactions.
After the last application of the preparation slaughtering pigs for meat is allowed in 3 days, poultry – in 2 days. Meat, obtained earlier than this period, is disposed or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinary surgeon.
Do not prescribe to animals with hypersensitivity to penicillins and with severe renal impairment. Do not use horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, small herbivores, as well as laying hens, eggs which are eaten by humans.
Do not use simultaneously with chloramphenicol, lyncosamides, tetracyclines, macrolides, sulfonamides.
