Description

20ml = 10ml + 10ml = 10 dose

Composition :

As an active ingredient, Cloprostenol

(synthetic analogue of Prostaglandin F2α).

In 1 ml of solution contains :

Cloprostenol – 0.25 mg

Pharmacological properties :

Pharmacotherapeutic drug group: hormones and their antagonists.

Cloprostenol is a synthetic Prostaglandin, a structural analogue of natural prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α).

It has a strong luteolytic effect, causes functional and morphological regression of the corpus luteum (luteolysis), by which it removes the inhibitory effect of progesterone on hypothalamic-pituitary complex, promoting growth of follicles in ovaries, increase in estrogen levels in blood, manifestation of hunting and subsequent ovulation of mature follicles.

In animals, cloprostenol is rapidly metabolized and excreted in the urine within 24 hours.

Procedure for use :

Used for regulation of reproductive function and treatment of its pathologies in female farm animals, including:

induction of libido in cows, mares, sheep, induction of farrowing in sows;

treatment of cows, mares and sows with various forms of ovarian dysfunction:

persistent corpus luteum, follicular (in combination with chorionic or luteinizing hormone) and luteal cysts, ovarian hypofunction (in combination with gonadotropin-releasing hormone, preparations of follicle-stimulating hormone or gonadotropin serum of stallion mares), prevention and treatment of postnatal uterine diseases. For the termination of pregnancy in case of fetal abnormalities.

Contraindication to the use of the drug is an established or suspected pregnancy of females. Premature use of the drug to induce labor may result in retention of placenta.

The drug shall be administered intramuscularly.

Before using the drug to regulate reproductive function and synchronization of the sexual cycle gynecological examination of animals shall be carried out. The drug shall be administered only in farms with epizootic situation with the use of disposable syringes.

Dose :

The drug is administered intramuscularly.

In order to induce the sexual cycle administer:

– cows cloprostenol at a dose of 2 ml/head (0.500 mg of cloprostenol) twice with an interval of 11 days.

The first dose is administered with cloprostenol in any phase of the sexual cycle, the second one on the 11th day after the first application. The insemination of animals shall be carried out 72-76 hours after the second injection, twice with an interval of 12 hours;

– To mares, cloprostenol once in a dose of 1 ml / head (0.250 mg of cloprostenol);

– to ponies cloprostenol once in a dose of 0.5-1 ml / head (0.125-0.250 mg of cloprostenol);

– In donkeys cloprostenol once in a dose of 0.5-1 ml / head (0.125-0.250 mg of cloprostenol).

To synchronize farrowing, cloprostenol 0.7 ml/head (0.175 mg cloprostenol) is administered to sows once two days before farrowing. In 95% of the animals, farrowing occurs within 36 hours after injection of the drug.

For treatment of functional disorders of the ovaries (persistent corpus luteum, luteal cyst) the drug is administered:

– cows cloprostenol at a dose of 2 ml / head (0.500 mg cloprostenol). If hunting is detected, insemination shall be carried out. Cows not in heat shall be inseminated again in the same dose 11 days after the first application, followed by double insemination 72 and 96 hours after the second application;

– To mares, cloprostenol shall be administered once in a dose of 1.0 ml / head (0.25 mg of cloprostenol) during the period from the 5th to the 13th day of the beginning of heat (the optimal period is 4-6 days).

For treatment of ovarian dysfunction (silent hunting, disruption of periodic cycle, anovulatory cycle) administer:

– Cows not coming into heat after 50-60 days after calving and having no yellow bodies shall be treated with combined therapy using preparations of gonadotropin of blood serum of foaling mares (HCM) – 800-1200 IU or Surfagon in dose of 10 ml/head (50 µg) and simultaneous administration of cloprostenol in dose of 1 ml/head (0.250 mg of cloprostenol). Cows in the hunt are inseminated. Cows not in the hunt shall be inseminated 11 days after the first injection of cloprostenol in the presence of corpus luteum shall be injected again in the same dose, in the absence of corpus luteum – HGCF preparations in combination with cloprostenol in the same dosage shall be administered.

For treatment of follicular cysts in cows, Surfagon is injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly in a dose of 4-5 ml (20-25 mcg) three times at 24-hour intervals, 10 days (240 hours) after the last injection, cloprostenol is injected in a dose of 4.0 ml (1.0 mg cloprostenol). The onset of heat shall be noted on the 1st day after administration of the drug. If it is difficult to use the above scheme, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) preparations are used in a dose of 3000 IU once intramuscularly or once intravenously. After 6 days (144 hours), cloprostenol is administered in a dose of 4.0 ml (1.0 mg of cloprostenol)

For the prevention of postpartum uterine diseases (subinvolution and endometritis) cloprostenol is administered: – To cows in a dose of 2 ml / head (0.500 mg cloprostenol) 6-8 hours after calving;

– to sows in a dose of 0.7 ml/head (0.175 mg of cloprostenol) in 2-4 hours after parturition.

To treat endometritis in cows, cloprostenol is administered in a dose of 2 ml/head (0.500 mg cloprostenol) in combination with etiotropic pathogenic and symptomatic therapy. In chronic endometritis, cloprostenol may be administered repeatedly in 10-14 days to restore uterine endometrial function.

To interrupt pregnancy in cows with fetal pathology the drug shall be used in dose of 2 ml/head (0.500 mg of cloprostenol) at any stage of pregnancy according to indications.

Unfertile ewe-sheep in a state of anaphrodisia with ovarian dysfunction shall be administered in a dose of 0.5-0.7 ml/head of drug simultaneously with SZH gonadotropin in a dose of 500 ME.

In ewes not in heat, the drug shall be administered repeatedly in a dose of 0.5-0.7 ml/head after 10-11 days. Hunting in ewes shall be detected by test rams twice – in the morning and in the evening with their next insemination.

For prevention and treatment of failure to open cervix in ewes, pregnant ewes are injected with a dose of 2 ml/head 15-16 days before the expected calving. In case of vaginal prolapse 3-5 days before parturition, the drug is administered in the above dose in combination with 2 ml of 0.1% oil solution of estradiol-dipropionate.

Store the drug in a sealed bag manufacturer away from heating appliances, away from food and feed, in dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 40-77 F (5 ° C to 25 ° C).

Shelf life of the drug in compliance with the storage conditions is 2 years from the production date.
