Description

Composition :

1 ml of the drug contains :

Progesterone – 150 mg

Pharmacological properties :

Progesterone belongs to the pharmacological group: hormones and their antagonists.
During subcutaneous or intramuscular administration of the drug, the required exogenous level of progesterone in blood to exhibit therapeutic action is maintained for 6-7 days, but does not exceed the physiological content in animals.
Progesterone inhibits hypothalamo-pituitary system, as a consequence there is no release of gonadotropic hormones – follicle stimulating and luteinizing, as a result there is no follicle maturation and ovulation.
Upon termination of the drug, spontaneous secretion of gonadotropic hormones occurs, which leads to follicle maturation and ovulation.

Progesterone metabolism occurs in the liver. Progesterone metabolites excreted from animals are biologically inactive.
